    Yes. It turns out that it was caused by a bad ground on the front of the car. Apparently this is a common problem on the x350 and other alunimium bodied cars (Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW & etc.). One of the ground studs fell off the right front of the car and prevented the right headlamps from operation a couple years ago. Although all the studs looked OK now - when I went to loosen the lower stud on the right side (below the one that fell off) it detached from the car. Nothing visual showed - no corrosion at all. All problems went away when I moved the wires to the new connection I mad a few years ago. More detailed research showed that the engine often quits when the wipers are turned on if there is a bad ground. Thanks for the message. Take care.
