Thanks for the reply jagnet, I've already fitted One of the crank sensor brackets and am well impressed with it, still not convinced on the better fuel consumption but makes my car a lot more responsive and nicer to drive . I asked about the DAI as I've read various things on line about them being an urban myth as far as performance enhancement and wanted to get it from the horses mouth before I started changing things for the sake of it.
Any how will chat to you more on the 8th . Im driving a 3.2lt 95 x300

The direct air intake has definitely improved acceleration, just feels more lively. It also gives out a light induction "growl" on acceleration, which I quite like! I've since removed the heat shield I'd made to cover the cone filter to see how she runs without it, and so far I've found no discernible difference. I have made up a small shield to protect the RH side of the filter from any splash up, just in case. The other mod I'd really recommend is the revised crank sensor bracket, if you're not familiar with this it's covered in the following thread in the forum's X300 section. It's easy to fit, and for around $100 it also adds some noticeable power output. Are you running the 3.2 or 4.0?
