My skills are strictly limited (but at least I am aware of my limitations). I need to summon up the courage to have a go! I very much want to insatll a reversing camera as I have had them in my cars for a while now and have gotten used to them. I dislike backing up without the extra reassurance the camera gives. If the worst comes to the worst, I will buy the kit and get it installed professionally next time my car is in for service (next spring probably). Hi there! Thanks for the follow-up. I haven't gone ahead with it (yet) but I have researched it thoroughly. I've found a good unit here in the UK - my worry at the moment is getting the wiring from the area above the numberplate to where the wireless transmitter will sit. I know how to wire the transmitter into the reverse light circuit, but then I have to get the wire from there, up through the tailgate and on to the camera above the rear number/license plate. I need to find out how to remove the tailgate trim so that I can feed the wire through the flexible connector (connecting the bodywork to the tailgate) and then on to the license plate.

I wanted to see how you made out with the rear mirror/camera install. I really like mine!
