    Hi BXJ!

My XJR came with the normal armrest with the crappy OEM cupholders. I didn't make this myself, found a guy in the UK who makes them every so often and saw the right color come up for sale a few weeks ago. The inserts are quite small, so most travel mugs don't fit, but I found one that does the other day, looking forward to my maiden voyage tow ork on Monday with a cup of coffee that I don't have to hold in my lap.

Gentlemen's name is Christian Lorence, you can search for him on facebook. He lives in Gravesend, Kent in the UK.

    Hi there,

I really like the cupholders you fashioned for your XJR! I guess that arm rest didn't have the usual built in ones? Either way, I think I'd prefer your set up. Now you don't have to worry about that fragile mechanism, and you get to use the cup holders for other things that need a temporary place to rest.

I haven't read any of the details of how you fashioned them. Did you write about it previously?

    Thanks for the great idea.
