Hey Burg - I'm in the process of checking out a 2003 XKR here in LA. It has 80k miles but my question to you is: do you think this car can be a good daily driver + long commute?

I'll be driving it 40 miles daily and every other month 100 miles or so down to San Diego... and then also driving to Vegas (400 miles)...

What do you think based off your experience? And what should I look for before pulling the trigger to make sure I'm not in for a disaster?

Thanks very much. I've also made a post on the forum so please reply there as this message thing can be weird.

I saw an avatar from an older post. I recently bought an XK8 from NH that matched the picture. Was yours an insurance loss from a dent in the drivers side rear quarter?
If so, I would greatly appreciate any maintenance history you can five me.
    Thanks, Eric

I used a kit from Jaguar Specialties in California, for the LS conversion. It includes an electronic conversion module that connects the engine pcm to the car gages. No cutting required. Even the original rad, fans, cond. coil where used. Great ride, performance of a modern Vett, and the ride of the Jag.
