    Hello MarcB,
Further to your recent comments regarding rust on the XJ6 X350. What is the best remedial repair methods you would suggest for the boot lid of my vehicle?
    Thanks,
    Andyboy321.

the wheels were 250-300 each to have the paint stripped, curb rash repaired and a full polish (face and barrel). I've worked third hand, through two different tire and wheel shops that used two different vendors and haven't had the best luck with quality or turnaround times so I'm afraid I can't really recommend anyone. I'm always on the look out for a good polishing company, like a Harley Davidson or commercial trucking service center that have a lot of experience polishing aluminum. That said I'm taking my XKR to a great mechanic in Arizona tomorrow for a bit of refurbishment and as a part of the work I'm having the barrel and lip of my 20" BBS Perseus wheels fully polished. In addition to being a great Jaguar shop they restore and race vintage British cars - I'll let you know how they turn out.

    Hi Marc,

I saw your picture of the Portfolio with the refinished Callisto's and they look great. I picked up a Portfolio as well and would like the wheels redone and was hoping you could tell me who you used and about how much it cost. I'm in San Diego but willing to make the drive to get them looking new again.

    Regards,

Hello Marc, You've been quite helpful on the forums with my totaled 2006 Portfolio. You mentioned that you purchases yours this year. I've reached a point in my negotiations with the insurance company where actual sold cars might be more helpful than those that are currently for sale. Would it be possible for you to share the name of the dealership that you purchased it from and your VIN? Proof of an actual sale at a fare price might be just what I need to push this through. Thank You, Greg Graham, Austin, TX

    Marc,

Found another one. H claims that the mounting hardware is in the pictures but I don't get it. What do you think?

    Marc,
Not picking up the windblocker until next weekend. The link is below to the picture. It looks like it's the type that mounts into the side with a key. Do you think the price is right?

    Marc,
Your windblocker is a factory model isn't it? I'm picking one up used this weekend and it looks like I will need to drill a hole and drop in an insert. Is that correct?

    Marc,
Finished the exhaust system yesterday and it sounds great. Center muffler delete with H crossover and rear delete with 4" blackened stainless steel tips. Jill says if I do any more to the car before Monterey I will have to buy her a sedan to drive! See you in a couple of months.
