    Hello Michael,
Hope things are well in BG. I see you still have your STR..so do I. After several other hobby cars have come and gone( Lotus Elise, Sunbeam Alpine, Lotus Elan +2) I still have the Green Dragon which goes for a repaint in a few days..while I look for a Jaguar Mark 2.
The STR has developed an intermittent creaking sound in the front suspension when the suspension is compressed ( braking) or rises . Probably from drives side but I cannot duplicate it by bouncing the car..any ideas before I dismantle the frontend and start to replace all the bushings?

    Hello Mike,
    Good to hear from you.
I had to keep the skirts...the PO had cut the rocker panels just behind the expand metal insert. I assume he thought he was achieving some brake cooling or aerodynamic effect. The result was either to replace the rockers or leave the skirts.
Hope you R is holding up well..mine has had a issue or two but for the most part it has been reliable and fun. I expect to keep it another year or two then move on to the next car of interest...now to get ready for The Mitty. This year it is at Road Atlanta and I expect to take her Mazadaspeed down for a few hot laps and tech her to drift. I keep the boost conservative at 11 lbs which gives us 220 hp ARW...plenty for club drives and such.

    have fun

    Hello Mike,
I would guess you are geting ready for the Texas Mile..wish I were going.
Do you know of any "breaker yards" aka recycle yards around BG that may have Jag bits? My STR is missing the lower cover sometimes called a belly pan form the front bumber lower valence past the oil pan and almots to the bell housing. The thing is as big as the hood er bonnett.
