Car sounds like a great heirloop. The coolant sensor is in the steel overflow tank on the driver's side near the front rad. The water level is probably low. These are known for rusting out also. Maybe fill & check for leaks. Regards, Jim

I did find the T-tops! Sorry, I haven't been on here in awhile. My dad was the one that gave me the car and he passed away a few months ago so I am definitely keeping it and am glad I didn't sell it last year when I was trying too. Now my dilemma is that I want to get it out and drive it but I know nothing about this car. It's been sitting for a long time in the storage unit. Do you know what kind of coolant it takes? I have to get a new battery for it and then see if it starts but I remember the coolant light being on. Obviously that could mean something else is wrong but I'd rather add some coolant and oil to the car so I can drive it to a shop and they can take a look at in. Any information that you might have would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Hi.. I'm not sure if you can help me or not but I saw you have an xjsc so I figured I'd give it a shot. My dad gave me an 88 xjsc and it's been sitting for about 5 years in the garage. Always been garage kept.. 56,000 miles. It's white. I know absolutely nothing about these cars or do I understand anything about cars in general. But I want to sell it and I have no idea how much to even sell it for? I remember he always told me it was a rare vehicle. As of right now we are still sorting through my dads many storage units and I can't find the t tops for it yet. But I also don't have extra money to keep this car stored so if I had to sell it without the t tops would anyone even buy it? Any help or advice you would have I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!!
