    You can program the remote yourself. There's a thread somewhere that tells you how. My car came with no remotes. I bought two and programmed them myself. $70+$53 sounds cheap for the key, though. I just paid about $180 for a Saab key including programming.

    I need an extra set of keys for my 01 XK8. Does anyone have a good source? The dealer tells me the key is $70 + $53 to program it and an additional $60 charge to program the remote i got off of ebay. Does that soung right????
