I'm in the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, and have been for many years. There is a Dorset group, but I don't know where they meet. There is also the smaller Jaguar Drivers Club, once the main and only club but a split in the 80s led to the two clubs we have now. There are also internet forums, but if you want to meet other owners regularly, its probably best to join one or both of these clubs.

I'm in the JEC and go to the Cheshire group meetings.

You asked for a classic Jaguar club in which case I would not necessarily recommend the Jaguar Enthusiast club (JEC) unless you class the Jaguar X type or the Jaguar XF or a new XPace as a classic. From my experience with the JEC (I own a 1968 S type and a 2013 XF Sportbrake) I would be more at home taking the XF to the JEC meetings than the S Type. There are more classic Jaguar owners (1950s 1960s and 1970s Jaguars) in my local classic car club than in the JEC. Just my opinion.
You are based in Dorset and in the South east Devon area there is a very large classic car club called the "CrashBox classic car club". Superb club with a lot of classic Jaguars. They organise the largest classic car show in the South west at Powderham Castle every year along with the Sidmouth and others. Their web page is at https://crashboxclub.co.uk/

With the JEC and JDC, a lot depends on your local section. In Oxfordshire, the JEC is a fantastic group. Have a look on the websites and go to a couple of meetings - you should be made welcome even as a non-member (you would be with JEC Oxfordshire). Then decide what suits you best.

I've got a 240 on the Isle of Wight, I'll wave over the water to you.

I'm a GRRC member, I think the waiting list is impossibly long now, but they do have the fellowship too.
