05 Jag S-type with ZF 6HP26 transmission

Hello Jaguar friends! I have a 2005 S-type that hesitates before shifting in to 4th gear. The diagnostic code is PO-720 and we are having difficulty fixing this. The trans is a ZF 6HP26. Any info you could share with me would be greatly appreciated! Thank-You! JagGirl

Welcome to the forum JagGirl. Depending where, in Texas you are, run it over to Motorcarman or Brutal. Either will fix you up properly. Motorcarman is just NW of the DFW metroplex and I believe Brutal is in the Woodlands, just outside the Houston area.
I know there are a few misguided souls out there with the mistaken opinion that Alaska's bigger'n Texas...but also realize you could still be hundreds of miles from either of them and still in-state. If so, sit tight and I reckon someone will be along shortly with some good advice. Meanwhile, post up all the details, mileage, any other peculiarities about the issue, etc. because sometimes what seems to be the most insignicicant item is the key to a proper diagnosis.

It doesn't sound like this at all.....but what is the age/condition of your battery? They frequently give a more glorious light show and low-battery induced xmsn problems tend to reset and go away momentarily after a key-off restart sequence. But with an '05, if you have the original battery, you are a candidate for lots of false trouble codes caused by a dying battery.
