Default 1959 jaguar xk150 roadster - i need a bonnet/hood

Hi.
My name is Gary and this is my first log in to this site.

I have owned a 1959 Jaguar XK150 Roadster since 1975. I shipped it off to Phoenix to have it restored and the guy was a thief. He stole parts from me, which I am now replacing a piece at a time, but it's very difficult for me to locate the Roadster Bonnet/hood. This bonnet/hood is 4" longer than the ones on the FHC and DHC.

I am seeking anyone who is parting out an XK150 Roadster and is willing to sell the bonnet/hood to me. Hopefully, I can buy the bonnet/hood with the hinges affixed, the center chrome piece and the latch.

If anybody knows of anyone parting out an XK150 Roadster or someone that has access to parts, I would appreciate the reference.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum Gary,

A sad tale and a difficult part to source.

Follow this link XK120 XK140 XK150 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK150 section. This is the best place to put the word out.

Please also visit the Western US Region section Western US - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum and I hope you find a bonnet.

Graham

Welcome to the forum Gary.

I can only think of scparts.co.uk they look after classic Jags.

I'd give them a call, but a bonnet won't be cheap.

Best of luck.
