Hi..

My name is Nick from Auckland.

Not an owner yet but looking at a couple of XJRs as my grumpy old man car.

I've had Alfas for years I'm getting too old for the lowered, super stiff etc cars. I'm looking for something that is comfortable and a nice place to be (like Alfas) but a bit softer but still packs enough to put a surprised face on the WRX boys.

I guess I'm after some idea of how costly they are to maintain, how reliable and how good the local services guys are in NZ. I'm used to Italian cars so I'm guessing Jags are in the same league for servicing costs and parts.

Good morning all , had an issue with the restricted performance light , got some fuel injector cleaner, and went for a drive up to Auckland and boom all sorted ! Thanks to the forum for the posts to sort it out .
I'm going to get my local mechanic to do an oil change and spark plugs next week , he seems ok to work on the car , anyone have any advise or things that are hazards that I can advise him on ! It's a 1998 xjr .

Hi All,

Anyone have a DVD i could borrow to copy? I have a JAP dvd and want to see if an old copy might "bring it around". looking for something from the Alpine system. Either US, UK or the fabled NZ/AUS disk.

I copied the Japanese DVD on a +R DVD and that worked. Tried the USA one but the format was very different and the player did not like it. I understand the Japanese one is related to the UK DVD rather than the USA one so I am looking to see if I can find a UK ISO to copy see if that works.

Unfortunately the Japanese version does not have a language option or an option to Nanchang the clock.

I also have the VIC and TV system in my car and want to try and use this for other options so wondering if anyone has a Japanese Manual that also includes the VIC and/or Tv solution. I can translate it, I just cant find it.
