I find myself working on a 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It barely runs, I'm tracking down some faults. Technical/diag info seem to be a bit thin on the ground for these cars. I'm spoiled by the fact that tech info is so readily available for more common makes.

Anyhow....

I'm woefully ignorant on the designs and parentage of modern-ish cars, and "2008" is a modern car for me. Is there any commonality between the AM V8 and Jaguar V8?

More specifically, is there any family resemblance in the engine management systems?
