Just got my plates for the XJSC!
Fun fact: "EA" is for Expanded-Use Antique. Here in Illinois, that gives me the freedom to drive the car wherever from April-Oct without the restrictions of a standard Antique plate ( ie. car can only be driven to and from shows, etc.)
You pick which photo works best.

I was planning on getting this one, but the space between STRA CAT made it an 8 character plate which pushed the cost to over $1000 more than the purchase price of the car. Maybe one day when I have a lazy $3250 I might revisit it.
Here in Connecticut it's only about $100 or so for a vanity plate. And the plates can come in your choice of a number of graphic themes: for animal lovers, friends of Long Island Sound, veteran, etc. $100 is still a bit of money, but easier to justify than three grand. I'm sure our state government makes a pretty penny off sales, as they are very popular. Can't imagine the logic behind making yours so cost-prohibitive.
