Spindrift white exterior over coffee interior
This is a very nice Jag. The exterior was completely repainted in spring of 2011 ($3k) in factory Spindrift white. It's a beautiful color and it glows in the sunlight. I've always preferred the leeper hood badge so I added one. I then removed the factory 96 wheels and replaced them with newly refinished XJ8 wheels. No curb rash. Tires are very good, approximately 80% remaining. The original 96 wheels are available and come with the car if the buyer should want them.
Mechanically the engine runs great. This is the reliable inline six AJ16 series engine. I put 2200 miles on in one week alone this summer when I participated in the Hot Rod Power Tour and it did great. I saw 26 mpg even! The automatic trans shifts smoothly.
The power top works good. The only issue is when you lift the e-brake handle you need to hold it in a certain position to illuminate the brake light on the dash. The pin switch is getting worn on the E-brake. The canvas is tan in color and no tears or rips.
The interior of the car will need attention. Mainly the two front seats. The leather has dried and cracked over the years. This was to be the next phase of my restoration but I've not had the time to get them done yet. The A/C works but only blows cool air, not cold. It will need a recharge. This was really a non-issue for me as I only used the car for sunny top down days.
The cruise control switch does not work. All lights, wipers, windows, radio, power seats and power antenna work fine.
Overall this is a nice car. It's spent it's entire life until I bought it in winter of 2010 in Charlotte NC. There is no rust on the vehicle and no dents or scratches.
Thanks for looking!
Steve

Also wanted to add that the car is located in Pinewood, Minnesota. I would also entertain trades of Porsche 914's.
Hey guys, I've listed this car on Ebay with a reserve of only $7500. I've also listed many more pictures on the Ebay auction. Hoping to make room for a new project. Nice car for $7500!!
