Default Light Blue smoke on startup!

Hi all, I have an 05 STR with 77,000 miles, no oil leaks anywhere nor burning any to speak of, giving me a puff of light blue smoke after startup when the car has been sitting up for a day or two. I haven't seen any smoke anyother time to include at idle. I'm guessing it maybe a fuel issue but I'm not sure. Any wisdom out there willing to help??

blue smoke on startup means that oil is getting into the combustion chamber. Because it is only happening on startup, it is a very minute amount. Odds are, what you are seeing is a little bit of oil leaking by the valve seals of a single cylinder and it is causing the smoke that you are seeing. About the only way that you would be able to determine which cylinder it is would be to do a compression check of the engine and then see which cylinder(s) is/are low. But, this would still be a hit and miss sort of thing based on the amount of smoke that you describe.

Personally, keep an eye on it and as long as you are not going through lots of oil and you are not getting any codes from it, let it be.

If you pull your spark plugs I can almost guarantee that one or more of the plugs have oil on them. You have the beginning stages of valve cover gaskets leaking. The inner valve cover gaskets are leaking oil into the cylinder thru the spark plugs. Let me know what happends. Thanks
