Little yellow LED in the overhead console

Little yellow LED in the overhead console
In the overhead console, right behind the 3 door opener buttons and centered on them is a little yellow LED. Sometimes on. Most times it's not. What is it? I can't find any mention of it in the manual.

10-4 to the tech. Night courtesy light focused on area of ashtray/shifter. FDA approved with no known carcinogenic activities/properties. Safe to pass hand in front of it, but avoid shining into eyes.
