You make some very good points, Mikey. The base of G-Oil is from the processed cows, the additive packages are biodegradeable, but not from animals. Actually the only reason you have to recycle used G-Oil is because of the contaminants that it gains from the engine. The good part of the equation is that if you spill it on the ground (or in water) it does not cause any hazards. You are correct about the "bad guys", but beef tallow is a renewable resource and it comes from Oklahoma and Texas specifically, not just North America.
Thanks,
Mike

I'm from Canada, your single biggest supplier of oil and beef. I don't mind which you import to make your motor oil. Originally Posted by MikeOh

Fair enough, I'll eat the beef and use the leftovers for more oil Originally Posted by Mikey

Never heard of this beef tallow-based motor oil before. How long has it been around, how much research has been done on it to determine that it is indeed suitable for the modern engine, and how much does this stuff cost per quart?
Seeing as we're nowhere near April 1st yet, I'm assuming that my leg is not being pulled....

Hi Jon, Not pulling your leg, it is for real. As far as research they have it all, plus it has been certified by the API, getting the SM rating, the highest possible. The 5W30 has been available since about October of last year, the company is about 2 years old. Here is a link to their site: http://www.getg.com I used it during my last oil change and now have about 1500 miles on it, no problems at all.
