You can get new ball joints (Ebay) and have your local shop press out the old ones and press in the new replacements, saving you $$$.

Just ordered a full set of four. Should have them by Monday I'm told, I'll keep you posted on the results. All you have to do is call Sam's shop tell them what you're looking for, and they'll get you pointed in the right direction.

If this source works out this is a great piece of info have here!!

Just remember that lower ball joints are only available for the Lincoln LS and the early 1999-2002 S Type. Also you need to know if your car has 14mm or 16mm ball joints. This refers to the stud diameter which was increased sometime in the 2002 model year.

Hopefully the upper ball joints for the early cars and ANY ball joints for the 2003 and up S Type will someday be released.

Wait... so can I get lower ball joints for my front lower controls arms? (03 str)

Can they be pressed in or out?

Do I have to buy a complete spindle assembly in order to replace my lower ball joints?

I have a steering wheel shimmy at 45mph that I haven't been able to cure, worse under braking,

I think lower ball joint's are next to do, because ive tried a few things already,

I decided to get the entire knuckle. The original parts aren't that good and all the rubber was gone on the lower BJ and the Upper control arm, so I am replacing all of it. Great video
