sports package?
Im about to order some springs. They ask if sports package or not. By sports package do they mean the R model? Or something else.
|
No, not the R, the sports package had larger front brakes and other mainly cosmetic changes.
|
I can't tell if mine is a sports or not
|
I don't think it is, I see from your pics that you have chrome corner trims, the sports had body colour.
The sports front discs are 320mm and the standard are 300mm. (off the top of my head) you should be able to measure this near enough with the wheels on. |
Oh ok was wondering since interior has a sports button and traction Button .thanks for the help

Didn't the sports Pkg also have the CATS shocks? You could check your front shocks to see if thier is a wire going to them or not. I can't recall if only the Sports PKG had it or not.

Slideshow - The "S" button you are referring to is related to the transmission - it simply raises the shift points. I believe all S Types have the "S" button. The "Sports" Package is different. |
Yes, I had the same question about the sports package or not since I had the "S" button on the console... on my last trip to the dealer I asked the service lady and she was not sure so ran the VIN in their computer and as Abanono said it is only for
the transmission. Be aware though that since this gives you extra power it takes extra gas (as I found out the expensive way when I accidentally had it on for a couple of weeks) so guess if you are willing to pay for power it is a good thing. Incidentally, for anyone living in the Roanoke, Va. area I highly recommend the dealership I use... CROSSROADS OF ROANOKE... great people to deal with. |
