Default Steering wheel removal...

A few months ago, a member posted information regarding replacement of
the clockspring, which required removal of the steering whee l. Recently, I
replaced my wheel with a new one since I had a slight abrasion on the
left side of the wheel (leather part) and was able to purchase a new wheel.
I assumed I would need a 'steering wheel puller' and set about trying to find one. Found out that one is not necessary. If you do have to remove
the wheel, remove the two airbag torx screws as he described. Then, you
only have to remove the center bolt, and the wheel easily pulls off.

You will need an extension on your wrench, however. Whoever puts this center bolt
on at the factory was eating their Wheaties. If any forum member needs
a steering wheel (mine is from an 06 4.3NA and should fit 03 to 08), the
color is a darker tan. It's yours for the price of postage. PM me.

Cliff
