Default Subs are dead!

Hi! I bought my 20004.0 S typeabout three months ago, and even though shecame withthe premium sound system the sound I've been gettinghas beenno "premium" at all. Well, while checking things today in mycatI just realized that the rear subs are disconnected or don't work at all! Where should I start? I'm not too good at mechanics or electronics but I'lldo my best following instructions, I promise!

Thanks in advance, this forum is the greatest thing that has happened to me since I own myBlack Cat!

The sub box is probably junk. Just so you know, your premium sound will never really sound premium unless you go aftermarket. Jag is not known for their sound system.

But FJT
What about that new XF premium Sound System lol
Bowers and Wilkins
funny thing is only the speakers are Bowers and Wilkins
Oh well
XF guys were praising the sound of the Bowers/Wiklins as the best that Jaguar has ever had
But i think the premium in the new XK sounds better

I hooked up the IPOD today in the S/C car. It sounded good. But not excellant. Bowers only makes speakers I think, but damn.....they need to get away from Alpine.

If changing speakers/amplifier, what brand/configurationwould you suggest? Are the speakers in the doorsthe same size as the ones in the back shelf?I'm nottoo sofisticated about the sound in my carbut I nedd something more decent, I gotta do something about this before micds get used to sound poorly

I am not sure of the sizes. Maybe 5x7? There are numerous threads on here about people changing their speakers. Just do a search and read on. Wish I could help you more. Anything but factory speakers too. Aftermarket will sound so much better.
