I can't figure out what the very first bulb does thats located on the bottom tail lamp next to the tail lamp bulb. It does not light up at all, neither for brake lights, tail lights, etc. It does not even have a replacement bulb for it. It uses a 1157 bulb but on the sylvania website, it does not mention it at all. Anyone know what this bulb does?

 

Rear fog light?

 

did not even know the car had one. I will check that out.

 

In the UK its law that all cars have at least 1 rear fog light that must be switched on when visibility is below 100m.

most manufactures used to have 2 rear fog lights, nice and symmetrical, then to save money they started to have the fog light on the right and a reversing light on the left.

 

I figured it out, it was the rear fog lamps. thanks for the help guys.

 

I use mine often here during the monsoon season (summer rain).
