Default Vanity mirror cover 2003 STR

I'm looking for a replacement - or a way of repairing the vanity mirror cover -RH Side. One of the plastic lugs is broken.
Can anyone guide me to a supplier - ebay only offers a complete sunvisor - too expensive & wrong colour.

you can buy just the cover...my passenger one broke, I just swaped it over to the passenger so my wife has the light.

but..you can ping any of the forum parts suppliers, as I did, i believe the price I got back from Nalley was around 75 bucks...i decided to forgo the cover at that price

Default Alternative engineering repairs on a budget!!

Get a small roll pin approximately the same diameter as the broken plastic pin, then drill a 1/16th in hole through where the plastic pin broke off(completely thruogh).Enlarge the hole in small increments until the roll pin is a tight fit, then position the visor mirror door in it's opening on as though it were open and insert the roll pin from the inside outward until you feel resistance.Back it off a hair and put a dot of super glue(gel works best,as it doesn't run) on the inside end of the roll pin to keep it from backing out and you'll find you've got a permanent fix.
When I bought my 2003 S-TYPE 3.0 both of the covers were in thge trunk!! I was just glad the previous owner didn't throw them away!
Gary.

fergs03R - Thanks for your response - I've done that , but like to have the mirror for my own use too - tho' I may crack it if I use it too much at my age !!

That's an awfully useful technique with a lot of potential applications.
