Walt,

Take it easy. I didn't like the debadging either but sometimes it's not what you say but how you say it. Your response to Swajames was much better compared to your original response.

Enderle,
I think the color is sharp, I had a Plum Crazy mopar back in the day and it reminds me of that car. As for the Badging who cares, it sounds like you did that in fun. Good thing you didn't put a leaper on the hood and an LT1 under the hood or this might have turned ugly.

Wow that actually looks really good! I think most cars would look hideous with that color but not the F-Type! The F-Type continues to amaze me, every color seems to look Beautiful on this Car!

Its a bit bling for me but fair play. Who did your vinyl wrap please?

Personally, if I wanted to go purple I'd have gone for a purple more true to the Jaguar heritage:

Default Purple

The color was picked because it matched her wedding dress. Yep it was Purple, and we had a robot as a ring bearer.

Vinyl Ink was the shop, they are in Fremont: Activity Gallery - Vinyl-Ink - Vehicle Wrap and Graphics

I think the color is fine, particularly for a female driver. As to the badging; why not? Who is it going to hurt?

Was the body wrapped with a purple vinyl or re painted?

Maybe I missed a part from the thread that answered that.

Either way I love that color!

I think the f-type would look stunning in any color.

I really like the carbon fiber touches you made, very tasteful. Some people get carried away with carbon fiber and end up with this:

It's a pretty stunning color IMHO. The bright sunlight really makes it pop. The only concern I would have is the durability of the wrap itself.

It is basically the same thing with color as a 3M clear bra (in fact given this is a two layer wrap it has what is basically clear bra as the top layer). They've improved this product a lot over the years. As long as you don't leave it out in the sun a lot, let some idiot try to wax it, take it through lots of car washes that have brushes (not a good idea for paint either), and use a plastic conditioner every few years (so it doesn't dry out) it should last as long as paint and it resists scratches and stone chips far better (my hood has needed touch up several times and I've already replaced one windshield).

I've had and abused a clear bra on my FX35 for nearly 5 years now and the only thing that looks bad on it is where someone hit the wrap with a buffer (I cleaned most of it up with the stuff you use to take the scratches out of plastic headlights) l and the line were it ends on my hood (I do the ENTIRE hood now when I use clear bra).

Kind of a follow up, but have you considered changing the wheel colors to a silver or brushed aluminium to make the carbon fiber inserts stand out more? I think it would really complement the purple, just a thought.

There was a rift in the time/space continuum.
