Beautifully and sensitively rendered painting of your Jaguar! I love your soft technique. You inspire me to want to paint my Jag as well and perhaps I will eventually. I have spurts of grinding out artwork then years of being distracted by life and doing none at all. I admire you greatly for applying your ample talent to such a worthy subject!

So glad you showed your workspace, and that you actually have paints, otherwise I'd think you were pulling our collective leg, and taking a print from your color printer into the shower with you!

Michael, you are full on amazing and incredibly generous! You also make me feel a right slacker for not painting!
Don't be too hard on yourself...I have my own moments when I slack off as well. It is a hobby that I have been doing on and off for 30 years. I used to do oils but now I prefer watercolors as they are much more 'relaxed' and easy on the eyes. I suggest you get some watercolor paper and a simple watercolor set and just let the paint flow. It is very relaxing.
Here is one of my Porsche 924S outside of my favorite Italian restaurant. It is probably the only watercolor of the most unloved Porsche in the world in existence. lol...

Thanks for the supportive words, Michael. I have proper watercolors and have used them mainly for underpainting for works I've done in colored pencil or pastel but have been meaning to get back into doing some actual watercolor painting again. Right now, all my supplies are packed up due to building projects but I hope this winter to finish the loft that will be among other things my studio space. Here's a colored pencil piece I did from a photo I shot when participating in the Highland Enduro with the Foers Ibex team in the Scottish Highlands in 1996. I did the painting years later.

Now that is a fabulous piece of art. It shows the intensity of the climate and what it means to be there. Two thumbs up!
