This weekend I had the Jag on a dyno at EuroCharged. If you are ever in Round Rock (north of Austin) stop in and check out their sweet shop.
Results of the 3.0L S/C 340BHP engine with K&N Filters as the only modification:
329 WHP
312 Ft.Lb. TQ
Not bad for a bone stock car. If I am calculating correct, I am only seeing a 3% loss through the drivetrain. I was expecting more like 15% and was really surprised by the numbers.
I will take it back in a month with the following mods:
--TCP Intake
--Varex Active Exhaust
--Lower Pulley (EuroToys)
--Tune (undecided)
If I only lose 3% through the drivetrain, I am expecting a healthy 100 whp bump. Not bad for a 3.0L engine.

That's a very healthy number for the base V6 SC, and no way your drivetrain loss is only 3%. Are you sure the XF V6 SC is the 340 HP version and not the 380 HP version?
That said, I suspect the dyno set up parameters were a bit off giving a high reading, and as we know dyno numbers are all over the shop, they are only any good as a "before and after" check on the same dyno under the same conditions.
Yes. I have been chatting with a guy in the F Type side that also believes the Dyno is providing high numbers, but I will test on the same Dyno. That should give me at least the difference and provide an accurate increase number.
The 380 HP version came out in 2016, so yes I am sure I have the 340 HP version, but with tunes and mods..its essentially the XFS .....minus all the tech

If you get 100 rwhp with those mods out of the 3.0L I'll be amazed. I know the tune should give you 40+, but an additional 60 from the other mods would shock me. Put me in the pool for 61 gained
Power under the curve should be very satisfying though.

well...the only other thing I can throw in there would be the custom headers that Velocity is working on, but the install would break the bank and I don't think it would be worth more than 15 whp.
Forced injection tends to have better numbers on dyno than NA engines, mostly due to the overboost. For a naturally aspirated engine however, it needs to be really healthy to show 10-15% loss.
So are you saying that the calculated 3% drivetrain loss is valid?
I am not too familiar with Dyno numbers. All the research I have done seems to point to the expectation of 10% to 15% drivetrain loss. I have not run across anything that differentiates between NA and blown engines.
