Steve has very kindly agreed to donate the RealGauge Coolant Gauge Upgrade Kit, MSRP $129.95 to one lucky (X100) XK8/XKRor (X308) XJ8/XJR owner.
The kit comes complete with comprehensive, easy to follow installation instructions and it requires no soldering.
Once Jaguar's factory cooling gauge reaches about 185 deg F, the instrument cluster forces the gauge to remain at mid-scale until the temperature reaches approximately 235 to 240 deg F. The risk of overheating is obvious and the consequences can be a destroyed engine. RealGauge will let you see normal fluctuations in temperature as you drive.

Good luck to the entrants! this is one of The essential mods you can fit to your cars, a reliable temp gauge particularly in hotter climes is so important, over temp events kill these engines quickly. Even if your not lucky enough to win, why not buy one - I can't recommend it highly enough - a Godsend.
This is something I will buy if I do not win it so it is likely I will be buying it I do need it though as Miss V is generating a low coolant light even with the coolant levels where they should be. I would very much like a better guage. This entry is for my lovely '99 XK8 Miss V.
