Being a leatherworker I wanted to add just a little sonething to an already beautiful interior. I have noticed that on sunny days the console is very reflective so I place a cloth over the knob to keep it from shining Not the best pic. But you get the idea.
in my eyes. Then I did this as a more permanent solution. Full grain African Elephant hide I took off a bigger piece I have laying around.

 

I know what you mean with the sun reflecting. I keep a small hand towel in the center console to lay over the shiny bits when the sun is at the right angle.

 

I replaced my 2010 XFR shifter knob with a later model from the Range Rover Sport which had a leather top and leather rings interspersed with the milling. Replacement was just prising off the top cap to get at the screw underneath to allow the swap.
