Trackday with the local exotic car club... The my race car is dead for now so brought the Jag out for a bit. Took a few students around the track.

Had the car fully detailed today inside and out. I'm very happy with the results. Detailer said something interesting. He found the clear coat to be softer than other cars he is used to and felt it took the polishing better as a result.

Pardon the poor imagery photographer error

There were fine scratches all over this fender. All gone now.

Had the F-Type professionally detailed to get rid of those pre-delivery paint swirls.

A few new ones of mine. Dead center on lip you can see some of my 3M cover... it has damage, but it saved the car.

Anyhoo... check this out! It's not the SVR as it says, but interesting nonetheless.----> https://www.autoevolution.com/news/l...ls-118428.html

Looks really good.

I had a deep scratch show up in my 3M cover portion of the hood. Some *&#^ did a number on it to the point I think it was intentional when I had it parked somewhere. Anyway, it was collecting dust/dirt and therefore always very obvious and driving me nuts. So I finally pulled it off and was surprised how "yellow" the 3M clear bra looked; I am going to redo the whole thing. But the cool thing was that there was no damage to the paint underneath so definitely worth it!

the yellowing is really interesting.

and I sort of think the same thing happened to mine... the way it was damaged vs lack of damage doesn't make sense to me. Look like someone pulled and tweaked. But if it works.... SUPERB!

I want to try the XPEL, a lot. It's spendy to cover the car. Dealer said $7K, so I bet $3.5K elsewhere??

I am going to do a professional detail and full XPEL wrap for my two year anniversary.

And I think pressing the photos, lowering the original height, may raise some questions to the designers - as how good the F-Type looks in this way. Photos are always differing from looking at the car live, especially when edited, however this editing of Erind shows that the idea could have been interesting!

Default New Member... New Jag...

Hi guys,
Been lurking on the forum a while waiting for delivery day - but it's here!
Picked up my 2018 F-Type R-Dynamic yesterday.
Couple of pics here but not really had a chance to get to get too many shots... too busy hunting down b-roads within 50 miles of London to stretch its legs!

Spec:
R-Dynamic
Carpathian Grey
'6003' Rims
Panoramic Roof
Exterior Black Pack
Interior Black Pack
Auto-dim / Fold Mirrors
Reversing Camera & Front Sensor
Heated Seats
Aluminium Paddles
And Red Belts.... because why not.

So far so good.

More pics soon I hope. The weekend beckons....

Sure - will do. Will try and get some good shots over the weekend while I'm out and about and hopefully some night shots as well.
