I wish I could get JLR to host an official meet for Jaguar owners. Honda graciously opened up their headquarters here in Los Angeles for Honda S2000 owners and flew out the chief engineer from Japan, Shigeru Uehara (designed the NSX, S2000 and the Integra Type R) for a meet and greet. They provided gifts, catered lunch, etc. Over 300 S2000s showed up and were organised by color. This is how a company builds brand enthusiasm and loyalty.

Needless to say, I look forward to going to this F-TYPE get together.

LOL...I was there this morning. You sir, were late for work. I waited until 9:05am in the parking lot. I went in grabbed my food and saw your car at around 9:20am when I left. I wasn't in my F-TYPE anyways.

AMEN to that!

Granted, times are different (aren't they always?) but when I hosted two major NSX events in and around NYC - one was a 4-day event and one was a 3-day, both attended by the National Marketing Director for Acura - back in the late 90's, Acura/Honda practically threw money at me. For the event, NOT me. Sweatshirts and T-shirts (both of of which I designed), lunches, dinners (and we're talking the best of the best, including fine wines) and whatever else I asked for.

Don't get me wrong: I LOVE my car (and my local dealer; although not nearly as much as the car) but the Brand? Let's just say they haven't built any brand loyalty with me.

By the way, little does anyone know but I reached out and wrote Ian Callum about the 2016 Jaguar Lobster Run - twice - held last May and never heard back. From anyone. Did I expect Ian Callum to attend? Not really but if you don't ask...

Have fun gentlemen as I know you will.

P.S. Now that I think about it...maybe next time I will reach out to Honda/Acura about sponsoring my next Jaguar event?

Since we both work less than 5 miles from each other, lets meet up for lunch or something. I requested you on IG. I'll DM you my number.

I am definitely down! I was going to meet with 818 in the Panorama City area to then get onto the 405. If you're going to be driving down the 405 through Panorama City, we could meet at Galpin Jaguar and then hop onto the freeway straight from there?

NoScurdyJags, 818
What time do you want to meet at Galpin? Or should we all meet off the 101 at the 405, maybe in the parking lot of Whole Foods one block south of Ventura on Sepulveda and then hop on the 405 right there? Either way is fine with me.

Everyone should note that the official route is slightly different than the tentative route I initially posted with a goggle link last week. Don't use my link unless you want to get separated from the group.

Also, Branden, did you intentionally select 8544 Chapman as the 1st checkpoint? Anyone plugging that address into their phone or navigation is going to be directed to make a left turn at Chapman, when the route is making a right turn onto Santiago Canyon at that intersection?

Indeed!
So as that is the beginning of Santiago canyon, I was going to explain to everyone on Saturday that we will stop at that address which is a large gas station/carwash/center. To regroup just in case anyone gets left behind. From there we can group and take on the canyon

You have Check Point 3 noted as a food stop?
Is the question whether we stop and have lunch at all?
or where we stop for lunch?
