British Racing Green XKR-S convertible
BRG has a unique property not found in any other color in the world.
It has incredibly strong association and yet it has never been abused.
Ferrari uses it, Porsche uses it, McLaren uses it. Kia does not.
Can you say that about any other color.

I dont have a dog in this fight.
I am surprised when I see Ferraris that are optioned in that color.
But it does draw a straight line between Jaguar's racing heritage (D-Type) and our XK

On second glance....
I understand the Ferrari in BRG, because I always try to see both perspectives.
If you own a flashy car, the last thing you want to do is be bombastic about it and have it in Corsa red, it may be vulgar to some personalities.

Ralphwg - yeah, I think I mentioned upstream that it's technically "British Racing Green Metallic." And, agreed, it's a little too metallic.
Q&C - absolutely agreed on the specificity of the color-- so it's not clear to me why Jaguar has strayed from it and yet continues use the name. (And that pic of the BRG Aston was taken a few blocks from where I live!)
Terverun - gotta disagree on the black. This is my third black car, and my favorite black by far. There's just enough metallic, and it has two great results: first, there's a depth to it that I don't think Ebony has, and second, it has the effect of hiding polishing imperfections, especially in direct sun. I don't have to obsess as much about it.
And I once took a look a Botanical Green XK in the sun-- way too close to a Lime Green for may taste. I mean that thing was GREEN.

Germans by contrast never stray, as result they have miraculously not made any contributions to modern music/film, their tiny neighbor Sweden has done more by magnitudes.
Its also un-British to promote, its seen as braggadocios. As result, they never explain themselves. You could say metallic green is conundrum of creative, classy contrarians.
Wilshire, I would have never guessed you were Korean.

Agreed on the Ebony. Which I have now lived with for several years.
Its an incredibly rich color, stands apart form the London Cabs.
Unfortunately to pedestrians on a sunny day, it looks like unkept black paint.

Green grass, fall leaves, blue sky, unite in spectacular reflections that play along the lines.
