Platinum XJR, are those the caliper covers I see on the net? I am going to do brakes after the first of the year and think the green ones would look good.

They don't list the XJ, and I read a story that once you ask, they don't want to deliver, but just order the right year XK, they fit.
You can customize colors and design if the standard does not fit you.
It is a very nice sturdy product, but I modified mine to get rid of the fake 'bolts', which look kind of ridiculous.

Awesome thanks very much. I will check them out.

My new (to me) 01 XJR. After owning an STR 7 years ago, I've been searching on and off for the perfect x308. I purchased it about two months ago from the previous owner, with 46k on the clock. More photos to come!
Yes, about 40 hours of paint correction and 5 months worth of restoration to get this car back to her former glory. I still have a few things left to do, but overall I am amazed at how she's turning out.
I had a rotted out muffler so I built new rear sections using resonators and Magnaflow tips.
The resonators are generic (from Summit) and I used part of the stock pipes, cut off the old mufflers, welded the resonators on, made some hangers, welded an extension and then clamped on the Magnaflow tips.
I'll get under there and take some pics if I cant find my original build ones - no idea where i stored them.
Black is the best paint choice for an X308. It's the preferred color of the English crime bosses who adopted the XJ as their executive transport right from its introduction in 1968. Black brings out the X-308's elegant form, complemented by a single line that ran from front to back, by Sir William's command.
No not at all, it's a big reason I went this route. The only noticeable change is under acceleration and a deeper tone t idle. I kept all the other mufflers and just replaced the rears with resonators. If you went straight pipe at the rear it would sound horrifying.
At 3k rpm or lower at cruising it had no decibel change. Acceleration however is a different story, you get the rpms up and it has a nice growl,. But nothing that take away from being a luxury car. It's quieter than an f type on the highway but just as mean on full rip.
Although I have been building performance cars for decades I despise loud exhausts, even my hotrod that looks like it has open headers has baffling in the manifolds and is quieter than most Harleys.
If if sounded like a muscle car at all I would not tolerate it.
Hey Probesport, I like the rod in the garage, what is it and what's in it? I like the thick white walls on it. The John Deere needs some larger rims on the back....lol.

The hotrod is a 1930 Ford Model A Tudor that's been chopped, channeled, and shortened. It's power by a '68 Camaro 350. Slightly built the Deere is an x310, it gets the job done lol. The Ford Probe next to it is the real machine though, believe it or not. 1930 Model A Tudor hotrod.
