No front plate in a state that requires them is begging to be pulled over IMO, so I don't think it's the car's fault. Are you planning to put a front plate on the Audi? If not, I'd expect the same results. If I'm going to get pulled over for something, it's going to be something I'm enjoying doing. I got the Sto-N-Sho and I don't even know it's there when I'm driving.
Don't put any money on that with my wife. Her speedometer is calibrated to read 10% too high and she never drives more than the limit as indicated. At least she never occupies the left hand lane.

I'm the one that started the Sto N Sho thread so yeah, I have them working on a new version for the B9's.
BTW, none of my cars have ever had front plates on them and I've been driving here since 1973, we're talking uncorked 550hp '69 Z/28's and LS5 Chevelle's...so I'm guessing it's got something to do with the car and the fact that the local PD have a hard-on for it.

Thanks, will do...I must say Audi's "owner in waiting" program which keeps you updated on the progress of your car as well as the Audi rep who is on the forums really make you feel special about your ordered unit, lots of communication and updates...I don't remember Jaguar doing anything like this.

It rained a little last night so today we woke up to an absolutely beautiful day, clear and just slightly crisp and as it turned out, a perfect opportunity to cruise down the coast on the newly opened bridge to the newly remodeled Ventana Inn's outdoor patio which always had a great view of the ocean.
Yesterday was the soft opening and today it was official, new chef, new staff, new furniture and dishware...and it was all truly amazing, they wifey was pleased, just 2 shifts removed from retirement!
Traffic was light and although I couldn't go ***** out, it was a fun, spirited drive and I'm sure the car appreciated being driven on such beautiful scenery.
Could someone educate me what the purpose of coating pistons?
Here are the arguments for coated pistons:
Overall Thermal Barrier protection
Reduction in overall operating temperatures
Increases component life by reducing friction and heat
Perfect for High horsepower applications such as turbo’s & superchargers
Protection against galling and other damage on metal to metal contact
Protects Piston rings from Radial tension Loss
Protection against hot spots by increasing flame propagation
Helps to scavenge heat from the motor more quickly
Some of the reasons are more compelling than others.

These are coated for nitro application...which can do some nasty things to pistons...different coating on the sides (anti-scuff) versus the tops.
Just washed the car one last time and since it's such a glorious day, we're headed to Pebble Beach to cruise around 17 Mile Drive and then lunch at The Lodge.
Not easy to say goodbye so enjoy her we will...one last day.
Life goes on and a new chapter - and a gorgeous new car - begins. While it's "just" a car - in other words, replaceable - I can't imagine ever giving mine up.
I don't want to sound like an ***, but whats with all the drama. Its not like your kid is going off to fight a war, your trading in a car you barely drove. If there is that much emotional attachment, leese another one.
