Default How much room in lower grill?

How much room is there behind the lower grill on a 2010 XF supercharged? I am looking so I can size a front mount heat exchanger. I was looking to place it below the front support, but don't know how long or how tall I can go. I was looking at one that is 30"x3"x6" and a dual pass, so both connections are on the same end, as the pump.

Anyone have any experience with the room under there? any pics or measurements?

Question? What are you going to do with the current intake design? It does not support an external intercooler

i was going to add it inline after the current set up. Basically the heat exchanger system will stay set up as is, except replace the factory pump with the Bosch 010 and add the cooler after the pump, before it is pumped into the top mounts.
So hot coolant would go from the top mounts, down to the factory cooler, out the pump on the end of the cooler, into the aftermarket cooler, then cool coolant back up to top mounts, and so on.

Just take the front bumper right off and check everything yourself.
It's not that hard to do, just lots of bolts and screws and a couple of electrical plugs to disconnect, I did it several times on both my XFS and XFR.

This is what I ended up ordering. Dual pass and core is 24"x3.5"x3.5". Even comes with a spot to add a temp sensor if you like. We will see how I can get this thing mounted when it gets here, hopefully next week.

I was aiming for the lower grill, but it might get more flow in the top grill
