Maybe they forgot to put one back from another car being serviced and put it on Stohlens car. It went something like this: Service manager "Hey, why is this f type cover laying on the floor over here?". New guy mechanic " I don't know, but the ftype over theres cover is not on". Service manager " Well get it installed then, before you're fired". (Or something like this may have transpired).

I'm guessing someone else is now missing their cover after taking it to that dealer.

That's correct.

They have been known to steal parts off of pre-production demo vehicles for me in the past... When I complained about a warped trunk floor, the replacement came out of an SVR on the lot before they were released.

Been a while since I posted an update. Changed a few things over the last few weeks:

- Black mirror caps (originally had white)
- Michelin PS4S tires in stock sizes.
- Cyclone wheels powder coated to match the JLR matte gunmetal offering. Never could find a set of those cheap.
- Finally installed my VAP springs.
- +17mm offset spacers.

Looks great, nice choice on wheel color, stance is perfect with springs and spacers. P7 grille and ceramic coat exhaust tips black and you are finished.

Well, modding never really ends, does it?

That looks great!

Can you stomp it now from a dig with wheel spin with PS4S?

So far so good. I'm looking forward to taking it to the strip in the next week or two to really find out.

Looking clean and mean. Can I ask what powder coating cost?

Wheels cost $700 shipped as a used set off ebay. TPMS was $73 shipped off ebay. Powder Coat was $420, stripped, prepped and coated.

A lot better than $800 a piece for a refurbished set of charcoal cyclones.

Wheels look very nice, big improvement on the gyrodynes I'd say.

Those front winglets could be black tho...

Sounds promising, remember wet/snow mode, traction full off, gear in S1 and then stomp it and let it do upshifts I've found gives the best and most consistent results from passes I've done.

If your hooking up well, then throw 50psi in fronts and 45psi in rears to go even quicker and remember clean out the SC intercooler night before.

Could be a ten second pass coming your way.

I highly doubt I’ll be making up 0.4 seconds, but I like the wishful thinking.

True but my first runs were 11.4-11.5s.

After more practice with different settings, little less weight and ram air mods I've ran an 11.2-11.3's and hoping to get that down to 11.1s

But the snow/wet, gears S1 then stomp it is quickest and most consistent for me and high pressures helped go faster, just keep adding more pressure until you struggle for traction off the line, a bit the opposite for the norm in drag racing where you drop pressure.

New personal best tonight. Still can't seem to find the MPH I was hoping for, but I'm happy with the more than 0.4 better than stock.

Also, I tried snow mode and saw absolutely no difference from dynamic mode. I was extremely consistent all day.

11.2 not bad! May want to tighten up that reaction time a tad , but I know that isn't the point of this. How is your 60ft and other measures compare to Gibbo? One of you guys needs to get into the 10's.

Maybe the weight diet items? Rotors, wheels, battery?

Gibbo didn’t have slips posted from his 11.30 run. But his 11.39 run had a 1.76 60ft, which leads me to believe i’m losing speed on the top end. I saw as low as a 1.62 60ft yesterday. Maybe it’s still dumping fuel in high rpm to “cool the cats”, I dunno.

Also I totally forgot Gibbo has an SVR which makes me feel a little better. I’m sure once he tunes it he’ll pass me, his car seems stronger than mine.

1.62 60 ft. is great! but it does look like you're losing mph on the top end. Compared to my run (stock), in the 1/8th mile you're 1 mph faster, by the 1/4 you're 2 mph slower. What's interesting is I plotted time versus distance and the delta between our time increases pretty consistently.

Good luck getting the tune figured out. I've been on the fence about getting one.
