Anyone have experience with Germax?
Hi everyone,
I've seen this website pop up a few times during parts search: https://www.germaxparts.com/
They describe themselves as an "OEM manufacturer wholesaler", though I've been able to get quotes for individual parts.
Their prices are extremely low: an "OEM" S/C coupler is about 10 bucks vs. almost 200 @Jaguar. Same story with a complete S/C snout which they sell for 135 bucks for vs. 1000+ for a genuine part.
Anyone used them, and if yes what was your experience?

No because they seem suspicious? Why is the name a take off on Germany but the company is out of China?
I have been tempted because of what you said but have not had the courage to order anything.

I'd tend to agree.
However, we know full well car brands are marking spare parts up massively. For example, on an XE the blind spot monitoring pack was about 600 bucks, and it included four sensors that were otherwise not present on the car. A single replacement sensor is 750 bucks, i.e. a 400% markup at least.

I read this thread, headed the warnings but needed some parts anyway so went ahead. So I needed two lower control arms for my disco 4, Landrover in New Zealand wanted to charge me $700 NZ$ a side (yes really) so I decided to give Germax a try. They were $55 USD a side so I got some ARB links as well $5 each side. I contacted them by email but they soon set me up as a whats up group, their english isn't great, but good enough, paying was the hardest part, I ended up paying them by wechat. I should say at this point that I have been a furniture importer for 20+ years and have been to and dealt with China for all of that time so am a bit familiar with the culture.
So what happened i hear you ask, well the freight cost was more than the parts, but altogether was still less that half the price of buying in New Zealand, parts arrived and I think they look excellent, but not OEM. Fitted them today, no issues truck is going so much better, I really have no complaints. Would I buy from them again? In a heartbeat, in fact it will be my first enquiry in future.
This is just one person experience, I am by no means guaranteeing you will have the same, but, for me, it turned out to be worth the risk.

Thanks for your actual experience! Sometimes I get too suspicious. I was that way with Ali-Express at first. But again I have had good purchases thru them. Including a $1000+ Android tablet for the dash board.
Germex does seem to offer a wide range of JLR parts. And Lord knows we NEED some alternative parts suppliers.
Hope they hold up for you.
