stupid question
Dose anyone know lf the lcd display back light takes bulbs
My wifes 2004 4.2 has a cluster problem but that has been fixed but now been told you can read the lcd display but it is dark
I was told to get a new replacement lcd display and ribbon
Every instermint cluster repair company i have asked say they can not help
I have also purchased 2 second hand instermint clusters
but they are the same no back light
The person i got repairing my cluster is away for a couple of weeks so thought I could try to find out in the meantime and get whats needed

I have a good used cluster for an R model. Should use the same lighting setup. I will look how difficult to remove. Worst case is replace entire cluster but you would have supercharged on it and a lower rpm redline
