I only use Coco Mats in all my vintage cars. One cannot beat the quality and fit. https://www.cocomats.com
My 1964 356 SC is bright red with black interior and this is what I have inside. Makes the inside pop when you open the doors rather than a dark cave like interior. Picture off the Coco Mats site.
The issue with these carpeted/logo mats, is that they are cut with 'gussets' to accommodate the dished floor. I didn't care for that and bought some neoprene sheeting that I cut to fit and then sewed those gussets in a closed position with the neoprene underneath.
Aren't you clever! You are right about the gussets on the driver's side. I used double-sided Velcro to hold them in place but it comes loose when removing the mats for cleaning. The neoprene backing is a great idea.
