Any chance you know the specs for this one? I see it's an S, but if the R are the new S, it wasn't just the S that changed the outside, but also the power. That's the problem I'm having with choosing how much I want to spend to get one that looks hot enough. I tried the configurator with many a combination but it's just too much and the pictures on there are not really life-like, and having exhausted Instagram, where it looks like there's only 5L V8 models, this thread is a godsend.

That's Unhingd's (aka Lance's) BRG V6S, which is tuned and lowered. Lance is one of the resident Gurus here, and his car is awesome. Don't recall if it's a MY15 or 16.

There are many pix of his car here, and I have a few as well.

Lousy lighting

BRG pops in the sun, from the right angle

yes, a 2016 V6S. As it sits in the photo, it has MPSS tires, with the standard size 20'S on the Black/Diamond cut wheel otherwise only available as the standard wheel on the R models (I bought some takeoffs). Also using 15mm spacers and H&R springs (1.25" lower in front and 1.5" lower in the rear). Debadged except for the S badges. Any of the F-Type RWD F-Type models can be modified to look like this. (number of tailpipes excepted).

Here's my favorite shot on the Tail of the Dragon:

A couple of pictures from "Rides at Rockwood Park" in nearby Saint John NB.today. Approx 325 vehicles, lots of American iron, Asian customs, rock climbing Jeeps, a dyno for bikes and cars/trucks, burn out contest, 1 F Type R...lots of comments on its beauty....and incredible sound....mostly from people seeing one for the 1st time.

Thank you DJS and Unhingd!
@4Holer any chance you have more pictures of the two together?I really want to get the blue but there are other great colors (that dark red, the racing green, the grey or silver) and seeing my favorite together with others helps a lot.

So I need to ask: what is this (fairly) recent obsession with offering CF parts? When did it become a thing, it's like all brand are now offering all parts to be available in CF? I fail to see the beauty in it to be honest. I mean, some parts can look nice, but if you look here the CF rood looks like a total mismatch because it looks like a different black than the back part of the roof, almost as if you used the hardtop of the wrong car?

It doesn't go too well with Caldera Red but, the CF top does have a gloss finish like all of the other CF accessories (except for the CF console pieces which are flat to reduce glare.)

It’s advancement in technology and exotic materials...
It’s not for looks, or at least it shouldn’t be. The reason for carbon roofs is that it’s much lighter than glass and fairly lighter than aluminum and considering center of gravity, it’s very beneficial to vehicle dynamics to trim as much weight up top as possible.
Also it’s an option, you don’t have to get it. If a coat on roof and carbon ceramic brakes weren’t available on this car I wouldn’t own one.
Furthermore if you end up with a car that is otherwise to your liking carbon fiber can always be painted body color, or any other color in fact...

True... weight consideration might argue for a CF roof, but all the other bits & pieces not requiring structural strength (interior trim, splitters, vents mirror covers, etc.) are just as light in the standard plastic. It's just a matter of (very expensive) taste.

It's an engineering marvel. Have you seen what's required to make a carbon fiber materials?

Today I found the end of the rainbow on a lovely mountain road. My favorite thing about this picture...my car is filthy, like a properly used car gets.

Looks like the number of coupes and the verts were well balanced. Cool parking photos.
