Hey all, I went to the show in Fairfax today and met up with some of the members and we got the idea that it was time to have another get together. So, this is what the tentative plans are at the moment.

Day: May 20, 2012
Location: Fairfax, VA
General Location: Corner of I-66 and Route 7100
Timeline: 8:30AM, meet at the Starbucks to enjoy a car show and have an early chat session and to look at a bunch of nice cars. Then at about 10:15AM, leave the car show and head over to Blue Iguana for a Sunday Brunch (roughly $14 a person) with parking being reserved so we can all park in a common area. Following brunch, continue the chat session with those that arrived after the car show. Depart the Blue Iguana some time early in the afternoon to allow each member to enjoy the rest of the Sunday.

Thanks for telling me about the meet on the 20th. We recently moved into our new home in Woodstock Va and have been so focused on unpacking that the forum and my page has taken second and in some cases third place on my things to do. It would be great to meet everyone on the 20th so write me in for attending. See you then.

I can do Sunday May 20. I'm just down the street in Falls Church. The 120 had me sold, can't miss an opportunity to see one of those in person! Probably just me but, slight chance of one or two with me.

govatos, do not worry about it. I want to have a few more G2G's later in the year to allow those that may be busy like you an opportunity to get to something. I am also trying to move them around a little bit to offer those that might not be near one venue to be close to a different one. The next event will probably be either down near say Fredericksburg, VA or up more near Baltimore, MD.

 

This is next Sunday guys!!! Kinda excited, haven't ate at blue iguana in a while.

Hey all, spread the word. I want to see the owner's face of Blue Iguana when we show up with a whole slew of cars. I am going to give a call tomorrow to give them a heads up that they can expect a large party to arrive at about 10:30 AM this Sunday. See you all there.

 

I don't think we're going to be back through early enough--we're going up to the Erie, PA area tomorrow-- and coming back Sunday.

 

We're in Chattanooga, Tennessee, so won't make this one, but hope to make a fall color tour in a few months. Maybe it will coincide with another get together. Enjoy the day!

 

I was asked for clarification of the 8:30 am location. Here it is:
It is located at 12599 Fair Lakes Circle. We meet in the Kohl’s parking lot, adjacent to Starbucks, . It is about 30 seconds from the intersection of I-66 & 7100.

 

XKR, not sure what more you want. If you look at a map, you will see the intersection and the car show is in the parking lot of the mall right there. If you find the Kohl's, you will be really close to the show. If you happen to stand half way between the Starbucks and Kohl's, you will be in the middle of the car show.
