This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember.

The initial meeting point will be Pease Pottage Services, with an indoor area set aside for us and 20% discount on anything from Costa (remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event to get your discount) to help get your day started. The Welcome Packs will be handed out at this point, and the main features of the day covered.

Then there will be a convoy down to the Brighton seafront creating a huge Jaguar statement with up to 100 cars, all setting up camp in one huge parking block in Madiera Drive.

There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. We are booked in the Harvester in Madiera Drive - remember to say you are with the JaguarForumns.com event when ordering.

The only other cost for the day is the parking which is likely to be £3.20 for one hour, £5.20 for 2 hours, £10.40 for 4 hours or £15.60 for 11 hours (Brighton Council are reviewing the rates in April though :icon_frown:).

CaptainHam has suggested setting up & using the pay by phone parking app on your phone prior to the day (saves fishing around in pockets for change, or in this case, notes)

The main meet will follow on from then with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free prize draw for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Not forgetting that this is your chance to meet up with all the people you know online, maybe advise them on any issues you have solved or figured and for others to help you out with any issues and to check out up to 100 Jaguars including the new Jaguar F-Pace AWD!!

Plus, if you want to make a weekend of it, we have teamed up with HolidayInn Express in Crawley and have a fixed discounted rate of £54 a night for attendees, plus guaranteed availability of rooms for us :-) please see their details below, or follow this link HolidayInn Express Crawley. Just remember to quote that you are with the 'JaguarForums.com' event to get guaranteed availability and the fixed discounted rate of £54 a night.

If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. If you prefer, you are also very welcome to sign up by dropping a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-)

Have you been racking your brains trying to work out how to combine a Jaguar day out with a family day out, maybe even by the seaside in a great location, and on a budget?

Well, we have the solution :-) A fantastic Jaguar day out by the seaside with discounts, freebies, a great chance at some free prizes in a draw, and car specialists onsite to answer all those niggling questions you have always had about your Jaguar.

Add to this photo shoots, Brighton Pier, amusements, shopping areas, meeting everyone you know online, cars going right back to 1966 and even the very latest showroom models all there for you. There is just soo much and it is all free (except for parking, and the fixed price breakfast).

So so much there for a great Jaguar day out, as only we know how to do :-)

So if you haven't signed up yet please do.. you can put a post on a forum thread, tweet us at @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet, pop a post up on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK or you can email us at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk

If you don't sign up you risk missing a fantastic day out for you, your Jaguar, and your family

Anyone still mulling over whether to attend our great Jaguar event by the sea, why not check out the front page news :-)

JimC64 02-18-2016 07:53 AM

Yes Steve, the inclusion on the homepage has knocked my event onto the next page dammit:icon_rolleyes:
Seriously though hope it helps get you where you want to be!

Can't believe you're aiming for 100 cars??
You must be nuts and or a glutton for punishment!

A great event and one not to be missed......In all honesty if I could make it I'd love to go, I'm sure it'll surpass last years event which was fantastic.

Best
Jim

SteveSheldon 02-18-2016 09:25 AM

Thanks Jim, I am working on it :-)

There are three more months of work to go until the day of our Brighton event, and I am hopeful we can maybe just manage my aim of 100 Jags/50 Years..

The event has a fair number of followers on it's Twitter feed including some big industry names, it has an event page on Facebook where non forum people are keeping an eye on it, and our master forum thread here is mirrored across two other Jaguar specific forums, and one general automotive forum..

We have 14 sponsors supplying everything from showroom cars to look over, discounted & guaranteed availability of local accomodation, product range discounts, samples, vouchers, prize draw prizes you will wonder how you managed without, banner signing, professional event photography, through to a support vehicle in case of any problems, and even industry specialists onsite to answer all your queries about your prized Jaguar.

We have even managed to persuade a contigent to attend from the Netherlands with some gorgeous Jags, as well as attendees from most areas of the UK. The oldest car signed up is only four years younger than me, and I am definately no spring chicken..

Everything that the event has had from previous years has been added to, so even our die hard, regulars are guaranteed a new experience this year..

It really is the best and biggest JaguarForums.com Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet event we have ever run.. and I still have three months left to see what else we can maybe pull together for it :-)

This event really is big for us.. so anyone thinking of signing up, or maybe is thinking of someone else who has a Jag and might want to attend - please sign up - don't miss out on the largest Brighton event JaguarForums.com has run.

We are booked in the Harvester in Madiera Drive - remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event when ordering.

Steve, members in Scotland or the South of England have a great opportunity as you say, to visit either of the events. There's so much going on, so many cars, so many members and prizes from some amazing sponsors....should be a brilliant day at either event.

This of course, is all down to some good natured friendly rivalry between you and I, its the members that win out at the end of the day, as it should be.
You and I.......in a heap somewhere, knackered, exhausted and stressed to the max....lol

Thanks for updating the UK meet thread as well, much appreciated
Kudos to you, you're an absolute legend mate

SteveSheldon 02-22-2016 06:54 AM

Many thanks for that Jim - this year we have a flagship Jaguar event for you whether you be in the North or the South of the UK !!

Now, back to our Brighton event .. things are still developing well here...

Just to let you know that I am in negotiations with a potential sponsor that offers something you are unlikely to experience any other way... more details to follow as soon as I have them... meanwhile please, if you have not yet signed up for our great event - you risk missing a fantastic Jaguar day.. go on, sign up now - it's free!!

SteveSheldon 02-22-2016 09:48 AM

We now have 100 people signed up for our Jaguar day - why not sign up too?
