Bidder i***6 clearly thinks so although you could find one without a potentially costly 'gearbox fault' for little more than the money this is likely to go for plus the 550 mile round trip to get it home from Liverpool.
It's only covered 1507 miles since the last MoT on 30.03.2016 so the owner has probably had time to investigate repair costs and decided to bale out.

Agreed, and I am currently on my second XJ8 :-) Gearbox faults can be costly, and if you add to that the possible cost of secondary tensioners you will quickly go beyond the cost of a fully working XJ8 in comparison to this..
