A pretty good showing of Jaguars this morning. Also, I saw a strange Triumph I'd never seen before. On the drive home, I found myself behind a friend in his Diablo. He didn't seem to worry about me passing him!

It was 59 degrees when I left the house, going to Katie's. The sky was clear. Less than a mile from my house, I was enjoying the open sky, and when I arrived at a stoplight, I looked up and saw a meteor streak by overhead. That's the kind of day it was! A modest showing of Jaguars today, as well.

Attendance at Katie's is never zero. I've been there, and met friends there, even when it's snowing. No snow today, but it did rain all morning.
The rain kept away the majority of the exotic cars, but Katie's remains a big social gathering, even without as many interesting vehicles.

A very cool morning - in more ways than one. It was 53F when I drove to Katie's this morning in the Seven. Jacket and gloves needed!

Quite a Jaguar turnout - I especially liked seeing all the E-Types! Who knows what the last two cars are?

I hear that the Jaguar Concours is next Sunday in Purcellville, VA:

I saw this yesterday and made plans to leave work early today and make it to the event with my wife. I am interested in joining the Club. I just found out that two of my Officers have to take emergency leave for unforeseen family issues. I had to cancel my leave. I could kick myself because I live 11.5 miles/15 minutes from this winery.

Sorry...jaguarforums is not affiliated with any of the U.S. Jaguar clubs. If you are in the vicinity of Katie's, you should visit NCJOC.com, the site for the National Capitol Jaguar Owners Club. You're on your own for the drink, though!😀

I was back at Katie's today, after two weeks away. A good turnout today.

A good showing of Jaguars today. I'm sure I did not get pictures of several Jags, as it stayed dark very late in the morning, and I was asked to give a couple of kids rides in my car.

The local Model A club brought out several old Fords.

The last Saturday at Katie's before Daylight Savings ends this year. It's REALLY DARK until almost 8:00AM, this time of year. A fair number of Jaguars in attendance on a cool, bright morning. (I don't recall having seen the beautiful black Series 1 E-Type with the hardtop before.) A good variety of other vehicles there, too...

I guess it's supposed to be cold in mid-November in Northern Virginia, but this morning, the clear skies and lack of wind could only make the 24F temperature tolerable, at best. While there were fewer people and cars than usual, you couldn't call the gathering ordinary. A couple of very nice Jaguars were there...

A busy Thanksgiving weekend at Katie's. For some reason, a really good turnout of XJ's today!

While this first Saturday in December was chilly, it was well worth getting up so early. On the way to Katie's I saw the amazing near-full moon, and I pulled over and took a crappy picture of it.

We did have several Jaguars there today...

OK, I get it. We're in December, and it's supposed to be at least winter-like. I don't even mind weather in the 30's. I even understand getting a dusting of snow - it makes for a prettier Christmas. What annoys me, though, is our local government deciding that it's up to them to prevent the impending ice age - they sprayed their anti-ice chemical goo on the streets on Thursday night, and put more chemicals down Friday night and Saturday morning. All this for what you could politely call 'light flurries' Saturday morning.

As a result of all the chemical crap on the roads, most people did not come to Katie's Saturday, and those of us who did, largely brought boring, everyday cars. Still, there were a couple of dozen enthusiasts at Katie's, and (as we do, rain or shine), we talked cars.

A day at Katie's (even without my fun car, or any fun cars) is still a great time, talking about cars and stuff. There is an astounding amount of knowledge at Katie's. There were no Jaguars there today, though.

Folks who own Jaguars, definitely didn't want to expose their kitties to the elements, especially the corrosive ones. As soon as I saw DC dropping loads of salt on the roads, I just tucked the car into the garage.

Winter Saturdays at Katie's can be different. Locally, we had a light snow from Friday afternoon thru the evening, so the roads were a bit slick Saturday morning. The cars that show up on mornings like this tend toward the utilitarian, so we see AWD, or German cars, or both. (As HarryF pointed out, Jaguar owners don't typically bring their cars out in this kind of weather, and that held true again this week.)

One of the more interesting vehicles there today was a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. This is a Jeep with the Dodge Hellcat 707hp engine; an interesting combination. Not everybody drives what you expect, though!
