Default Cruise not available

Hello, Every time i put gas in my Jaguar x type the "Cruise not available" cycles on intermittently. The car starts to jerk when you try to change gears. Also it comes on when you accelerate. It does not do this once the miles of gas left get down to about 30 miles or so or when the low fuel light comes on.

I replaced the mass air flow sensor twice. I replaced the vacuum hose from the power brake booster to the intake valve. Also replaced the power brake booster. Check engine light is on always. Help, car is sluggish accelerating and this "Cruise not available" going on and off makes it difficult to drive.

love2ski, lets first start with getting the codes read to see what the car is complaining about. That will give us a good point to start with. From there, it will be easier to give you a list of possible problems. It can be something as easy as a vacuum line issue to a problem with one of the electrical connectors to the throttle body being damaged. Something that I have seen lately too is that the brushes get worn inside the throttle body and a temporary fix is to retension the springs in the motor. But, this requires a special tool (a special 5 pointed torx bit).

Get the codes read and then lets take it from there.
