Default Where to buy an audio connectivity module

Ok, I want to play MP3's in the car.

The ACM seems to be the way to go but who is selling them and for how much?

Ewan

They are around $420 but Jag stopped making them some time ago. I'd suggest you start calling the dealers and see what's left on the shelves. The part number is C2C 40513.
Good luck.

EwanV, if you look at Jaguarparts.com (dealership out of Cleveland, OH), they have the audio control module for $387 plus S&H.

I've had one on order from them for a month. I can't get them to respond on whether they are available anymore through them.

I've spoken to two of dealers in the UK, and when they checked the national Jaguar parts system, the status had been updated to say a new supplier for the parts had been found and production was to start in March. Both dealers seem to think this meant the the part would be available in April. I think they said the price was £240 ex vat, but the price was subject to change

Gaudin's got it for $460, prices on these keep going up so I'd buy soon.
Jaguar Parts - Direct JPLV Porsche Parts.com

As a comparison, I bought mine last August for $380 from terrysjag.com

EDIT: For some reason, it is listed at $440 in the accessories catalog on the same site:

I recently installed one of these:

Amazon.com: iSimple IS31 Universal Auxiliary Audio Input: Electronics Amazon.com: iSimple IS31 Universal Auxiliary Audio Input: Electronics

Works a treat - quality is great, much better than an over the air FM modulator.

Price is way better too at $27

yea this was actually the first mod I got done when i bought my car - I have the touch screen so I couldnt install another radio/due to the clement control & navigation
features- so I looked around Prices range from $300 to $500- but one day shopping for a HDMI cable in Best Buy I found a Device called isimple- it connects MP3's + Phones - to your radio- for only $125 thats including installation- now thats almost a year & half ago now they have bluetooth same price including - no wires I love it- you can pick one up on ebay even cheaper, & do it your self- but if you have the touch screen Im in the process in buying a device called Nav tool - now this device is awesome- it unlocks your touch screen so you can do more with it This interface lets you add DVD, Rear View Camera or any other video source to your factory navigation screen- check out the link - when i get it ill post it up

Too cool. Do you have to install the iSimple IS31 and then ADD the bluetooth unit to it? Or, are you saying that there is a new (different) device that is bluetooth capable that would be installed INSTEAD of the IS31?

If so, what's the model name/number for the bluetooth unit?

http://www.isimplesolutions.com does not list the IS31 anywhere? I see the Tranzit, and the Gateway. Any thoughts on those products?

Thanks!

Anyone interested in an ACM? Jim Coleman Jaguar, in Clarksville, MD, just called me and said they had one unit it in stock. I declined it in favor of an iSimple. They are asking $420. 877.656.5900.

It'll go quick, so call now if you want it.

The IS31 is the Universal player but has been replaced by the Tranzit USB IS32

The Bluetooth adapter is a completely separate adapter and you do not need a preexisting kit for it. It's the Tranzit Blu. Now there's two separate Trazit blu. One for iPod & iPhone ISFM22 and one for Android ISFM21

If your looking for general overall connectivity with an apple device and don't want the Bluetooth, the Tranzit IS77 is the way to go. It just doesn't have the usb feature that the IS32 has.

Hi fellows,

I recently bought a 2006 x-type and I'm kind of mad about the lack of aux-in and the high price of the official jaguar solutions (acm)

I'm very excited about this Tranzit option but I have a question. My jaguar comes with an OEM bluetooth hands-free. Will Tranzit work? Will Tranzit mess up with the bluetooth hands-free?

Tank you for your help

My jag doesnt have the OEM bluetooth hands-free The Real problem you would have is when connecting your phone pairing it to both the Builtin bluetooth for phone and the Tranzit for music. If you have a seprate device like an ipod touch then it shouldn't be an issue because it is bluetooth and you could have one device connected to the Tranzit for audio and your phone connected to the built in for phone calls.

As long as your not trying to use the hands free with the same device your pairing with the Tranzit you'll be ok. If your only using one device I would recommend the IS77.

Actually, I was thinking on the IS77 since I would like to use the OEM bluetooth service....

Thank you for your answer. Let's see if someone with a OEM bluetooth has tested it.
