Default Clunking and deceleration problem

Newbie here to this site. My name is Rox and i have a 2004 X-Type 2.1 6cyl. automatic and I have been having a few problems. Bought her 2 yrs ago and replaced the driver wheel bearing. Using a sledge hammer and a 45lb rock bar to get it off. Most likely original. A few trips after the replacement she started clunking and sputtering. I have no idea what may be wrong and hubby is a youtube mechanic..lol. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Rox

Hi Rox....welcome to the forum.

Can you be more specific about your clunking problem?
When is the clunking happening.......just driving on a smooth road at a constant speed or when accelerating or decelerating?
Does it occur when you are going over a judder bar, man hole or hitting a pothole?
Is the clunking related to you turning a tight corner left or right with some acceleration?

The sputtering.......sounds like you have an engine miss.
Is this when the car is idling, or driving at a constant speed, or under acceleration or deceleration?
Is it present when engine is cold, hot or both?
