My 2002 X-Type did not come equipped with fog lights so the cut outs for them in the front bumper have some kind of covers installed to cover the empty holes. Today, I noticed the P/s cover missing. Does anyone know the actual name of this part so that I can try to buy a replacement? The empty hole looks terrible, so I want to fix it right away. Thanks.

 

Correction on my 1st post. The cover that I'm missing doesn't appear to be a fog light, but a maybe the cover for the headlight washer? That's the part time I'm looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Common problem it would seem. Part is C2S30311/XXX but note it comes as a left and a right hand side and it also comes unpainted. Also, you cannot just buy the cover. The cover comes with the nozzle. Jaguar dealer will charge a lot to paint this item. I purchased the item from Jag and then used some leftover touch up paint that I had from a body repair. Worked out fine. But this is a known problem with the system. Actually its a pretty poor design. You can also see XT501-S940

I contacted my dealer and they agreed to repair the part for free. They kind of acknowledged that it is a common problem. Thanks for the help

My black 2007 X-type labelled as PAINT PEC...which I guess makes my car Ebony...I guess that sounds more expensive....

I ordered the part from ebay today...remember that there are different parts for left and right.

 

Just replaced the one on the right side today. I broke in off in the late spring with the icescaper. First replacement never came, order for a different source and got it in 10 days.
