Key chip programming
2004 X-Type 3.0. I have the 2 original keys but wanted to make a few spares. I purchased 3 blanks from Ebay and had the dealer cut them. They fit the ignition but will not start the car. The dealer wants a few hundred to program the chips. I have read that if I have the 2 original keys I can program the additional keys myself but I can't find out how to do it. I know how to program the remote fob but all I am concerned with is getting my 3 spares to start the car.
